Social Interaction
- Not actively participating in simple social play
- Poor peer relationship
- Poor eye contact
Behaviour
- Enjoy repetitive activity
- Fascination with movement e.g. spinning wheels
- Insistence on sameness e.g. Same route to school
- Resistances to changes in environment
Communication
- Delay in development of spoken language
- Inability to understand simple questions, directions or jokes
- Delayed or immediate echolalia
